2000 to Present

Michael Fanshel has conducted Inspection services for major construction projects in Montgomery County, Maryland for compliance with the Special Inspections Program in which the life safety issues and accessibility are the focus for compliance with the International Building Code (IBC).

Recently, the Jefferson at Indigo Crossing Apartments project for JPI Development has been completed June 2008 and consists of 2 buildings with 473 residential units over 750 space, 5 level parking garage.

Sunrise Senior Living developed the Fox Hill Condominiums consisting of 720,298 gsf divided between 5 buildings and a central amenities facility. This provides both support services and administration in a luxurious residential development for both independent living and assisted living settings. Structured parking on three levels serves the site in a campus setting. Project budget is $167 M with 240 condo units and 89 assisted living units. Completed February 2009.

The Silver Spring Gateway Project in Silver Spring, Maryland for JBG, designed by WDG Architecture, has been completed in March 2009. This condominium and apartment development features:

457 residences overlooking the Capitol, National Cathedral and Downtown DC with a rooftop pool and fitness centers. Underground parking in a controlled access building.

United Therapeutics Labs in Silver Spring, Maryland is under construction of the Phase 2 of their laboratories expansion and is expected to be completed Fall 2009. This expansion of their headquarters on Spring Street follows their original Phase 1 construction from 2005.
